Rachel Rowett, Manager of Inner Northern Adelaide Partnership (INAP) Training & Development Provider is filled with enthusiasm about the chances for students to taste life beyond school offered by her organisation.

“INAP offers Vocation Education and Training (VET) courses to students from nine member schools and over 35 non member schools in Adelaide and surrounding suburbs (over 600 students annually).

INAP helps young people make a successful transition from school to further education, training and full time employment by providing learning pathways and career development. VET provides nationally recognised qualifications in most industries, including high growth, new economy industries. Many VET qualifications offer links to university study options.

VET creates exciting opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and includes employability skills and key competencies such as creative problem solving, working cooperatively with others, ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, ICT skills. We know many jobs of the future don’t even exist yet but with these skills the world is their oyster. Students participating in INAP VET courses develop expertise in specific industries and the skills and knowledge to assist with preparing for lifelong learning.”

Rachel is delighted that students undertaking a VET course gain credits towards their SACE as well as credit towards a recognised VET certification.

With over 10 years of experience, INAP is investing in a successful future for its schools and their students.
